Paver Patios Built to Hold Their Line

Multi-level travertine and paver patios designed and built by hand for North Houston homes, with the base work that keeps them flat for years.

Why choose Patios & Pavers

A patio is the floor your whole backyard is built on, so it has to start right and stay right. We design and build multi-level travertine and paver patios, stacked-stone walls, fire pits, and integrated lighting as one connected space, with the drainage and base work underneath that keep it from shifting in our clay soil.

A base built for Houston clay, not a calendar

Our soil swells when it rains and pulls apart when it dries, and that movement is what tilts and sinks a cheap patio. We excavate to solid ground, lay geotextile fabric over the subsoil so the gravel cannot migrate into the clay, and compact 4 to 6 inches of base in lifts. That is the part you never see and the reason the patio still sits flat in year five.

Travertine and full-depth pavers, chosen on purpose

We build with materials that handle heat and weather and still look right years later: travertine that stays cooler underfoot in a Texas summer and concrete pavers that run several times stronger than a poured slab. Because each piece is a separate unit, the surface flexes with ground movement instead of cracking across the middle the way a single slab does.

Drainage planned before the first paver goes down

Standing water is what stains pavers and grows algae in our humidity. We set the grade to pull water away from the house and the patio, build slope into the design from the start, and add channel or surface drainage where the yard needs it. The patio looks level to the eye while quietly shedding every rain.

One connected outdoor space, designed and built by us

A patio rarely lives alone. We design the levels, stacked-stone walls, fire pit or fire bowl, and integrated LED lighting together so the proportions and materials carry through, and the same crew that plans it builds it. You are not stitching together three contractors and hoping the lines meet.
